The Albert Pierhead
South Hill - the real reason I went up there the other day was to take pics of...
.. the end of the Albert Pier... here with the newer ferry terminal wall behind, and rocks near the castle beyond that.
Closer. Note the walkway along the top, where tomorrow's pics will be from wider area on top of the bunker.
While I'm doing the 'establishing shots' from a distance, here are some more...
.. from Victoria Pier (while snapping HD1 before it goes... more on that later next week)...
.. closer. Right, let's actually go there...
I'm the kind of person who would write "Hello buoys!" and think it was amusing.
Looking over the pierheads to Victoria Pier on the other side , with Port Control tower...
.. and right a bit, showing the 'small roads' this side of the castle breakwater.
Sounds like a fair achievement, a 12 hour row aged 17.
