Crapaudvision - Jersey Marathon Finish

The scene at the Weighbridge as the first runner crosses the line and the 2nd and 3rd are on their way to the finish....

A slight rush-job - the video was edited and started uploading within an hour of leaving the place... and was viewable while some runners were still on the course. Isn't the Internet Age a wonderful thing? :)

Back to pics again... misc...

Video is all well and good but photography is so much easier - you only have to hold the camera still for a brief moment and all sorts of mistakes can be corrected to some degree, later. So here we are, I'm not giving up the photos... here's another load of stuff that caught my eye in recent weeks...

Into the harbour

The Duke of Normandy states tug, Jersey Coastguard...

.. closer.

The sun was from the right angle to light up inside the yacht club and let us see in.

The old abbatoir area, through a load of masts.

Their plans for that 'island site' look interesting, an eating area on top of the old loos looks to provide pleasant views but hold on - where has the Liberation Square statue gone? Are they going to move it?

On the Esplanade, lit by sunset

Just playing with close-up :)

Elegant building by the town church

St.Aubin's Bay, First Tower area ...

Fancy a walk on the green?

More Crapaudvision - East Coast Scenes

Just testing the new as-broad-as-its-wide-screen HD crapaudcam, it's a little shakey here and there but I wanted to test the overall picture quality in terms of sharpness and colour, smooth motion, how easy it is to edit, all the techy stuff about codecs and bitrates etc.

If I take it more seriously I'll sort the sound out and use a tripod :)
- but I'm quite pleased with how the better shots turned out. At least the skies are blue unlike so many other YT vids where they're slightly green or mauve. The editing is mostly simple, when the NLE behaves itself. I might do more of this from now on and let the photography take a backseat for a while.
