Cycle Races - "Jersey Town Criterium"
One of a number of posters which are still up, 2 weeks later :)
Start/Finish line near the cenotaph...
.. closer.
A recumbent at Charing Cross.
Unusual to see barriers across the precinct...
.. kids race...
.. looking down Halkett Place...
.. perhaps tired competitors could pop into the States for a snooze? ;)
At the Weighbridge...
.. a good place to catch the colourful action...
.. as they round the bend...
.. I bet they loved those speed bumps.
Looking back to there, from near the Town Church.
Count the powers in Hill Street -
Legal Power, Political Power, Church Power and Pedal Power.
Around the bend by the States - make your own jokes here.
Conway Street just after the end of racing...
.. which leads to Broad Street...
.. to Charing Cross...
.. and via York Street...
.. the finish.. here after the event...
.. as the clear-up begins.

motorists are denied access thro town again after we paid the road tax in the fuel, this island is getting worse, it will never be a tour de francefun for a few cycalists!!!!! I had to walk to my destination and waste time waiting for barriers to be opened.
