They're busy putting on a show this weekend...

.. around the harbour at St.Helier.

.. closer... sunshine here but that's a nasty dark cloud over there...

.. closer.. a line of exhibit tents on the New North.

The Lord Nelson of the Jubilee Sailing Trust...

.. a nice big HMS at Elizabeth Terminal...

.. closer...

.. nice missiles...

.. and an impressive looking gun.

Meanwhile at the Weighbridge...
.. some lads play with their boules....

.. while some kids get rolled around inside a large one.

Mmmm, ships! What a smart looking square rigged 3 masted barque The Lord Nelson is--'Nellie' as she is known to her friends, or so I'm told!
The D98 is HMS York. I like her Mark 7 Lynx helicopter best--the tail is hinged so they can stow it in the hangar! lol. Amused me no end the first time I saw it.
Did it rain? ;)
Hazel. (Same nut, just moved from LJ to DW)
Thanks Hazelnut!
I kept quiet about the HMS name in case some jobsworth thought a few pics (that anyone can take anytime) were some kind of security risk :)
Stranger things happen all the time in photog-world.
Yes, I too like a well hinged tail :)
