Changes, Misc
Scorched earth at L'Etacq, taken from Le Braye...
.. closer.
Looking down Colomberie...
What was a tatty site on the corner is being developed.
In King Street now... a brief glimpse along Peirson Place into the Square...
A new shopfront for Clarks - one doorway not enough?!
:)
Cardboard in the windows while the shopfitters do their stuff.
Is it just me or does shopfitters look like shoplifters at first glance?
Pound World Plus... plus what? Redundancy?
Another vacant shop has old JEP photos to entertain us.
Green Island at high tide...
.. closer.
Trees have come down at La Rocque giving us a nice view of the house and tower. Unfortunately it looks like fencing is going up instead. Just how much privacy does one really need - are they naturists in there? :)

The Royal Square
Looking into the Royal Square from Halkett Place, in the evening sunshine.
Towards the Town Church
The Statue...
.. closer.
On the right, a new HSBC bank will open soon, replacing the old Collins and the walk through to King Street...
.. looking down the truncated Vine Street
With an entrance either side, the bank may still serve as a pedestrian route through? :)
Looking over to ...
the cosy corner...
.. or Cock and Bottle as it's now called.
Here's the other side of the new bank, in King Street opposite BHS...
Exciting.
Maybe something will make use of this vacant shop when the bank is open?

St. Aubin from the hill
St. Aubin looking a bit grey on a winter's day...
(newcomers : shift and click the little pics for a larger version in a new browser window)
The Fort
Harbour
Pierheads
Right a bit...
.. farther...
.. closer.
The Yacht Club corner...
.. closer.
Along the quayside to the Tenby...
.. and to the Parish Hall.
.. left a bit, a new restaurant that replaced Battricks, and another toilets converted to provide a cafe.
At night...
.. a bit brighter...
.. closer.

Misc - including airport
Very dry fields in the Bagot Manor area...
.. closer.
Tax Haven? Surely not!
More reporters than protesters :)
I had the wrong White Balance setting by accident/stupidity...
.. which gave these a nice warm redness!
Deputy Dan the Anti-Incinerator Man gets interviewed for CTV.
One for aerial fans (whatever cranks your handle!), a replacement mast at Westmount.
A rushed snap - this barrier now separates the Arrivals Hall from the enlarged secure Departures Area, which marked the end of the airport as a place to visit for shopping/plane-spotting/eating...
.. unless you visit the Aviator upstairs...
.. bar...
.. and restaurant - which I presume will vanish before long - I believe the arrivals hall is due to be demolished?
.. so removing distant views to L'Etacq (better on a nice day!) like this, for us.
