Le Coleron Battery, St. Brelade

At the land end of this breakwater there are steps to a path leading to...

.. an old battery from the 1700s at Le Coleron...

.. part of a pair to defend the bay, the other being above La Cotte cave up there on the left.

Looking east towards St. B's Bay beach...

.. a bit farther left.

Left some more, looking back at the way in...

.. and left again... take your pick between blue sky&sea but dark overall....

.. or a bit lighter with the sky&sea overcooked.

That bay to the west, reached by private road beyond the parish church, is Bouilly Port...

.. home to some of Jersey's more financially secure residents...

.. who can afford rockface, beach and roadway remedial work :)

At the end of the road, this one includes land all the way around the headland to Beauport.

Alright for some, huh? :)

Very interesting!
In that last photo, is that 1 house or 2? They look so opposite in design!
