Still waters

Friday the 28th, it was so calm I took a quick snap of the new blue crane on the New North, seeing as the reflections were so good.

This is a one or two second exposure, a little lighter than how it looked to the naked eye, with the pic heavily processed by 'messing around with the curves' (brightening it from the original).



This pic was a 20 seconds exposure, F2.8, ISO100.
Many light areas are 'burnt out' but it's really brought up the darker regions and shows just how calm the water was to produce such clear reflections over 20 secs!

Nice weekend wasn't it? It would have been nice to go away on a reasonably priced ferry. Remember HD?

Albert Pierhead - part II

On the lower level, around behind a wall, a view back along the outer edge of the pier towards the unused space in front of the ferry terminal car park.







So let's head up the steps to the top level then.....
