Westmount Quarry & Jewish Cemetery

There's a secluded Jewish Cemetery tucked away (map) in Westmount Quarry (which is due to be developed). From the entrance...

.. go ahead keeping right...

.. and this gate awaits. It wasn't locked...

It's a long & narrow rectangular plot, with no other entrances.

On the right...

.. and the left.

Looking back from down at the end.

An ex-Senator of the States of Jersey lies here.

Elsewhere in the quarry...

This 1929 building is to the left of the entrance, behind the boarded up house on the main road...

.. and it is being used as an artist's workshop.

As the road bends to the right (North-East) you get a glimpse of the expensive making-safe works carried out to the cliff.

Some people enjoy photography in abandoned industrial sites.... I can see the appeal but there's not much scope over here where almost every square foot of land is managed by someone quite closely. This will have to do!
