Town Changes

Pound Magic has just opened where 101 Toys replaced the JEC in Broad Street...

Another 99p store opens soon, this time where Lancashire Textiles was/is (?) in Beresford Street.






.. on the corner, this Axle has moved into Voisins.








In Bath Street, an expensive shoe shop has closed...








.. the arcade looks a bit bare without the sub-let tat stuff...







.. and another shop is vacant.







The market feels a bit closed in with all that scaffolding up.

Seaside Festival - Havre des Pas

New Partners

"Partners" has reopened in the new building. Inside it's light and airy, with a lot more space...

I'm pleased to report that the staff are the same, and the food remains well up to par - just as delicious as it ever was.

Ouaisne

Ouaisne (pronounced "Way-nay") is the eastern side of St.Brelade's Bay. Down the hill there's only one narrow lane for access, and it can be a bit annoying squeezing past the oncoming traffic. This visit was early in the evening on a warm day where the sun was being a bit indifferent, but even so I had to get past 12 cars on the way down, and 9 on the way back up again afterwards!

What was a derelict cafe has now been done up as a trendy cafe with large al fresco terrace...
